File consists two folders. The first folder contains copies of correspondence between Wojcicki and Nouwen. Included are copies of 7 articles written by Wojcicki about Nouwen, six are in the form of open letters, that were enclosed in the correspondence. The articles appeared in the Springfield, Illinois Catholic Times where Wojcicki was the editor. The file also includes copies of draft and final versions of a forward Nouwen wrote for Wojcicki's book "A Crisis of Hope in the Modern World" published in 1991. Articles in the file are the following:

• "Dear Henri: About Those Feelings" November 30, 1986
• "Beyond the Land of Confusion" December 13, 1987
• "Confronted By My Own Words" November 27, 1988
• "Rethinking A Four-Year-Old Goal" May 14, 1989
• "Dear Henri: A Reflection on Power" December 3, 1989
• "Dear Henri: Restlessness Returns" December 2, 1990
• "Dear Henri; Of Hope and Passion in '91" December 1, 1991

The second folder, from a later donation, consists of:

• 18 original letters written by Nouwen to Wojcicki
• 1 copy of a book inscription written by Nouwen to Wojcicki
• 3 letters written by Wojcicki to Nouwen
• Open letter" written by Wojcicki to Nouwen in the Catholic Times, Springfield, IL, written between 1989 and 1991. Duplicates of material in the the previous folder.

Materials in the first folder were received as part of a 2002 donation. Materials in the second folder were received from a 2012 donation.
