Scope and content
File 1 consists of letters from O'Neill (one letter is improperly annotated as 'O'Hare'), and four typed letters from Nouwen, many discussing the 25th Anniversary of Nouwen's Ordination, and a manuscript O'Neill was trying to get published, tentatively titled "New Wine". Nouwen wrote an introduction to O'Neill's book, which was eventually published by Ave Maria Press as "Lazarus Interlude". Also contains letters to O'Neill from Thomas Casaletto, Senior Book Editor of Our Sunday Visitor, and a piece of music for choir and organ by O'Neill titled "Shepard of Israel".
File 2 consists of a letter from O'Neill and several draft manuscripts of his work "New Wine", which was eventually published by Ave Maria Press as "Lazarus Interlude", and handwritten and typed drafts of an introduction to the piece by Nouwen.
