File consists of one letter sent to Mark and Susan Clark by Henri Nouwen, and one notecard signed by Nouwen that was sent to the Clarks tucked inside a book by Nouwen. The letter was written from Harvard Divinity School (not on Harvard letterhead). Nouwen says he was grateful for the chance to meet them at the home of Paul and Cynthia [Hanson]. He said he enjoyed the conversations. He concludes by saying that he thought they might enjoy looking at some of his books, and enclosed a few [books not included in fonds]. Letter is signed. Letter includes one notecard with an inscription from Nouwen. This card was sent with the letter and was tucked inside the books he sent to the Clarks. The books he sent were A Letter of Consolation and The Way of the Heart.
