Scope and content
File consists of two letters from Richard Alan White. In letter from March 5, 1996, White is agreeing to see the first part of Nouwen's new diary, and that he would be glad to help Nouwen get the diary ready to be published - like he helped with "The Road to Daybreak." In letter from July 16, 1996, White thanks Nouwen for his letter from early June and a check for $1,000. He updates Nouwen on the progress of his own book, and says that he will read through Nouwen's diary notebooks for him. He gives Nouwen several questions to think about to get the diaries ready to be published, such as "What is it that I want to say? What one theme binds together the significance of the last year of my life? What did I DO?"
