Scope and content
Item consists of 1 audio cassette featuring a talk given at an Accompaniment Workshop for l'Arche assistants. The title of the conference was 'Accompaniment in l'Arche' and it was given in June 1990 in Calgary, AB.
Content notes (or transcription) from beginning of the recording: Side One: This afternoon is to raise your awareness of what assistants come with and what emerges with living community. We have identified four areas that we are going to speak about. It's important to remember that when people come, what we see is only the tip of the iceberg. We will start with shame and the manifestations of shame, based on the book of John Bradshaw. Side Two: Time to wrap up this morning. I want to talk about claiming ourselves as that is what we have been talking about. I want to end with a reading from Ezekiel about being a true shepherd. I believe that is what we are all about. As it says, it's God who heals us.
