Note
The Cabinet of the Scarboro Foreign Mission Society is an advisory body to the General Council and an integral part of the governance of the Society. Cabinet membership is decided by the General Council, and usually consists of Department Heads and members of the General Council.
The aim of Cabinet is “to ensure better cooperation and understanding between the various Society authorities and supportive Society departments and offices; and also to provide for joint reflection on new situations which continually arise because of swiftly changing times.”
(Constitutions, art. 158)
Cabinet members also act as 'ex-officio' substitute members of the Council, according to the norms established in Art. 154 of the Constitutions.
