Series includes writing and research conducted by Dr. Mojab in the 1990s and 2000s on subjects including Iranian and Kurdish women’s experiences and social movements, the development of Kurdish studies, the relationship between the Iranian Islamic state and academic institutions inside the country, and student movements both within Iran and in the international diaspora. Material includes drafts, correspondence, interview transcriptions, and notes for specific titles such as Women of Iran: A Subject Bibliography, funding proposals, editorial communication, and Mojab’s dissertation The State and University. The 'Islamic Cultural Revolution' in the Institutions of Higher Education of Iran, 1980 – 1987 as well as various published papers, such as The Islamic Government's Policy on Women's Access to Higher Education and Women in Politics and War: The Case of Kurdistan (the latter includes the Sorani and Persian translations published under the pseudonym Sahar Qahramān in Rabun and Nimeye Digar). Also included in the series is documentation of the International Kurdish Women's Studies Network and its first conference, representing Mojab’s key involvement in the first academic gathering on the topic.
Records from accession B2024-0029 include research material and correspondence related to the experiences of Kurdish people in Northern Iraq, particularly related to Dr. Mojab’s SSHRC-funded research on post-war reconstruction, and her expert contribution as a consultant and interviewee in the preparation of Iran: Women’s Human Rights, a published paper by the Documentation, Information and Research Branch (DIRB) of the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board.
