File consists of reference files on the Nouwen family including an annotated family tree; an article on Henri Nouwen's uncle, Msgr. Antonius C. Ramselaar; an annotated biographical dictionary for A.C. Ramselaar that was sent to L.J.M. Nouwen; two funeral cards for Prof Mr. Laurent J. M. Nouwen; two pages of a copied Nouwen family tree; one memorial card regarding the death of H. Heiltjen Nouwen-Kronenberg (February 7, 1944 - July 21, 2007), wife of Laurent Nouwen (Henri's brother), and mother of Sarah, Laura and Raphael Nouwen; a memorial card and photographs for the funeral of Marina San Giorgi, wife of Paul Nouwen (Henri's brother); an advertisement for Paul Nouwen's company clipped from a magazine with a brief mention of Henri Nouwen; memorial cards for Machiel Antonie Ramselaar (1874-1940), Nouwen's grandfather; a blank postcard of a location in Belgium that Henri's father visited in 1996; notes taken by Sue Mosteller in conversation with Nouwen's aunts (Ella Leijten, Truus Derkx, Hetty Berghs), Ron van den Bosch, Jurjen Beumer, and Antoinette Jansen in Holland; and correspondence between Sue Mosteller and Professor L.J.M. Nouwen.

File also consists of a second folder containing 15 original letters of condolence in Dutch and English to Nouwen after the death of his mother Maria (Miep) Nouwen-Ramselaar in 1978 , as well as other materials related to her death including a funeral notice, her obituary, and a card about trees planted in her memory in Israel.
