Item is a recording of the opera, as broadcast on the CBC radio program "Saturday Afternoon at the Opera" on June 26, 1982. Recording includes the intermission interview with Ruby Mercer, James Reaney, John Beckwith, and Billie Bridgeman. The recording was from the premiere performances presented by Comus Music Theatre of Canada at the St. Lawrence Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The production was directed by Paul Sperdakos with Geoffrey Dinwiddie, designer; Howard Cable, conductor; and a cast of Avo Kittask, Caralyn Tomlin, Henry Ingram, James McLean, Katherine Terrell, and Patricia Rideout.
