Administrative history
The Centre for International Studies dates back to the 1970's, when the centre developed out of the teaching and research programmes in international relations at Trinity College. In 1997, Peter Munk made a significant donation to the University to renovate Devonshire Place. The Munk Centre for International Studies officially opened in 2000 as the Munk Centre for International Studies (the Archives has no records from the Centre during this period). The Munk Centre for International Studies eventually became part of the Munk School of Global Affairs.
