File consists of 41 b+w photographs, 2 sheets of textual records and 1 envelope related to the Detroit 250th Anniversary Parade and other events. Records are further divided into following items.

  1. Parade and floats, 15 b+w photographs, themes include lion dance, audience, float for Chinese music, Chinese girls drum corps, Chinese community members wearing traditional clothing in the parade;
  2. Performers in Cantonese Opera costumes, 9 b+w photographs;
  3. At the performance, 10 b+w photographs;
  4. Enlarged group photographs, 7 b+w photographs, 1 page of photo description provided by donor. Persons identified in the photographs (in addition to Beatrice and Raymond Jai) by the donor include Mrs. Lore Lan Fong, Tuey Ping Lee-Hum, Mari Young, Rose Chin, Ho Sing-Wah, Violet Chin (Lum Siew King).
  5. 1 page of obituary of Fon L. Lim (photographer of above photos), 1 large envelope used by Fon L. Lim to mail printed photographs from Detroit to Toronto where Beatrice and Raymond Jai lived at the time (September 20, 1951).
