Scope and content
Ritsema and Catherine [Gris] are looking forward to seeing Zuckerkandl and his new wife [Gertrude Bamberger] and send their best wishes. Ritsema informs Zuckerkandl of the facilities that will be available to them during their stay, as well as other events that will be happening at Eranos at that time. Ritsema likes Zuckerkandl’s new title “Zur Symbolik tönender Formen” but is wary of the implications of the word symbolism. [Gershom] Scholem cannot attend the conference, so Ritsema and [Adolf] Portmann are asking Zuckerkandl to inaugurate the conference as the first speaker. In the postscript he mentions trying to get in touch with the Julliard Quartet’s agent in Munich.
