Stephen Chenette, trumpeter, teacher, and conductor, was born December 16, 1935 in Tampa, Florida. He was appointed to the University of Toronto Faculty of Music in 1972, where he taught trumpet, orchestral repertoire, and conducted the Concert Band, Wind Symphony, and Brass Choir. Chenette retired in 2001.
